Where the graph shows how your notes connect, the timeline shows how they unfold. It arranges your library by time, so you can watch your thinking develop. Open the timeline from the Timeline chip in the sidebar - or, if you're already in the graph, press ⌘G to flip between the two.
Your work, in order
The timeline places your notes along time, turning your library into something you can scroll through like a story. It's a natural way to revisit a period of work, pick up a train of thought you set down weeks ago, or simply see how much you've made.
Switch views freely
The graph and the timeline are two windows onto the same notes - connection and chronology. Move between them whenever a different perspective would help:
- Reach for the graph when you're asking what relates to what.
- Reach for the timeline when you're asking what came when.
Neither changes your notes; they're just different lenses. Use whichever one answers the question in front of you.
