Home is a quiet dashboard over your whole library, not a note. It's the permanent leftmost tab - always present, and the one place that can't be closed.
Getting there
Click the Home chip in the sidebar, press ⌘1, or hover over the tab strip in the toolbar and click Home at the top of the panel that opens. Home always sits at the far left of your open items, ahead of your open tabs, so it's a single keystroke away from wherever you are. It's also where Nodes lands you when there's nothing else open.
What it shows
At the top is the masthead - just today's date, nothing more. Below it, once you've made a note, Home gathers a handful of sections:
- Review Suggestions - the on-device AI's tag ideas, one at a time. Accept the ones that fit, dismiss the rest.
- Reminders - on top, the agent's reminder suggestions, offered one at a time to accept or dismiss; below, the open task-list items (
- [ ]) from every note in your library, grouped by note. Check one off here and it writes straight back to the note. See Reminders. - Node Explorer - browse every note, newest first. Filter by tag, or show the whole library at once.
- Tags - your most-used tags with their note counts. Open one to go to its tag page.
- Your Garden - a small garden that grows as your library does, beside a few quiet figures about your writing.
Every section reads from your real notes, and clicking through opens the thing itself - a note, or a tag page.
A fresh library
Before you've written anything, Home skips the sections entirely. The date recedes to a single quiet line and a short welcome takes the center, with one button - Create your first node - and a link out to this guide. Write that first note and the masthead and all the sections return.
